Angelina "Angie" Davila Escobedo, 89, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2012, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Darrel Beggs officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012, at the funeral home.

Angie was born in Sharyland, Texas, to the late Paulino and Delfina (Garcia) Davila. On April 23, 1949 she married Antonio Escobedo in Mission. While living in Mission, they were members of Primera Iglesia Bautista of Mission. In 1964, the couple moved to Hillsboro and became member of Central Baptist Church. Angie was a loving mother, good cook, and enjoyed life.

Preceding her in death was her husband.

Survivors include her son, Tony Escobedo and wife, Kathey, of Hillsboro; daughter, Gloria Escobedo, of Hillsboro; grandsons, Derrek Escobedo and Caleb Escobedo; and great-grandchildren, Jaden Monterrubio Escobedo and Kinsley Monterrubio Escobedobrother, Alfredo Davila, of Corpus Christi; sisters, Beatrice Valdez and Guadalupe Martinez, both of Corpus Christi; and many more family members and friends.
