Obit:
Daniel Brovont, son of Ephriam and Lizzie Brovont, was born in Ohio, April 11th, 1853. Departed this life April 24th, 1934.
Age 81 years and 13 days. He leaves to mourn their loss his wife Barbara and eight children. On July 4th, 1875 he was married to Emma Bottorff, to this union were born four girls and three boys.
Laura Saxton of Custer, Michigan, Amanda Trowbridge of Gladwin, Michigan, John Brovont of Rossville, Indiana, William Brovont of Sunfield, Michigan, Louis Brovont and Orpha Adams of Davidson, Michigan and Myrtle Cameron of Saginaw, Michigan. His first marriage was broken by death on Feb. 21st, 1899 and on Feb. 25th, 1900 he was married to Barbara Metzger. To this union was born two sons, Dannie, who died in infancy, and Elmer of Rossville, Indiana.
He also leaves 24 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Joseph and Ben of Lake Odessa, Michigan and Tobias of Baldwin, Kansas and one sister Anna Wolf of Rossville, Indiana.
He united with the Old Brethen Church in early life, to which faith he lived faithful till death relieved him. He served in
the deacon office about 11 years. In his last days he remembered the Apostle James' advice and was anointed.
One by one the chairs stand vacant,
Which were filled by those we loved.
One by one the seats are filling,
In the heavenly courts above.

Mrs. A.R. (sic) Saxton of Eden, who was notified of the serious illness of her father Daniel Brovont of Rothville(sic), Ind., received a second message Friday telling of his improvement. Mr. Brovont is well known here, having lived in Eden township for a number of years.

Former Resident of Custer, Dies
Custer April 25
Daniel Brovont of Rothville(sic), Ind., father of Mrs. Allie Saxton, died Tuesday morning, according to word received here.
Mrs. Saxton was notified late last week that her father was seriously ill. Early Tuesday morning Mr. and Mrs. Saxton and their daughters Pearl and Katie left for Rothville(sic). At 9 o'clock the message of his death was received.
Mr. Brovont was gravely ill with pneumonia during the winter and his advanced age of 80 made it impossible for him to withstand the disease.
Mr. Brovont lived in south Custer for 25 years, moving to Rothville(sic) 10 years ago. He leaves to mourn his loss his widow and eight children, seven by his first marriage and one by his second wife.
