Youngest of five daughters and tenth of twelve children born to Lt Joseph Shaw and Lydia Shaw.
Granddaughter of Nathaniel Shaw and Hannah Perkins, Elkanah Shaw and Elizabeth Atwood.

She was the wife of Charles Shurtleff, son of Benjamin Shurtleff and Abigail Atwood. They were married Nov 20, 1815 in Carver and had the following children:
* Samuel Atwood Shurtleff 1816-1863
* George Augustus Shurtleff 1819-1902
* Benjamin Shurtleff 1821-1911
* Eliza Carleton Shurtleff 1825-1917

Hannah also has a cenotaph in Stockton at the Stockton Rural Cemetery file 18319646.
