Anna McLeod is daughter of Murdock McLeod and Christine McDonald. She was married to John McLean on August 2, 1881 in Goderich, Ontario. Her and John made Chase their home in the 1880s, and born to them three daughters; Jessie McLean Arnold(1882-MAy 11 1913)buried in Chase,first wife of George Allen Arnold (1882-1942)buried in Grant Center North Cemetery, Mecosta Co. Mi.; Christina McLean Wright(1889-1971)wife of Roy Wright (1891-1953) both buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Munising, Upper Mi.; and May B. McLean Rowan b. 1893. Anna's husband John McLean was born in 1856 to Donald McLean and Mary Patterson.

Mrs. Anna McLean, wife of John McLean, died Wednesday at Chase of Pneumonia, aged 56 years, 3 months, and 19 days. The funeral was held Saturday at the M.E. Church, conducted by Geo. E. Bullen, pastor of the Reed City M.E. church, and interment was made in the Chase Township Cemetery. She leaves a husband, four daughters, five sisters and one brother
