Clyde Goldsmith
Clyde Goldsmith, 55, of 314 ½ W. Pike St. died at 3 a.m. Thursday in a local hospital following an extended illness.
He was born April 14, 1915, at Coburns Fork, Harrison County, a son of the late Edward Goldsmith and Stella Brown Goldsmith of 318 ½ W. Pike St.
Also surviving in addition to his mother are his widow, Vione West Goldsmith of Coudersport, PA; one daughter, Mrs. Deloris J. Hurst of Route 3, Liberty Addition; three brothers, Raymond Goldsmith of Salem, Fred of Ellicott City, MD, and Ira of Wallace; four sisters, Mrs. Charles (Mae) Lowell, 318 ½ W. Pike St., Mrs. Glen (Iva) Hurst of Station C, Mrs. Acyneath (Ima Jane) Lamb of Baltimore, MD; and Mrs. Rhoden (Leafie) Richards, of Grantsville; one grandchild, Larry Samuel Hurst.
He was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister.
Mr. Goldsmith was a retired employee of the Consolidated Gas Supply Co. with 17 years of service.
