The community has lost a dear friend with the death of Tommy. Mr. Wilson died suddenly on Tuesday, March 26, 1996 at the age of 69. He served his Country with the U.S. Navy in World War II and the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict, having a tour of duty in the South Pacific. Mr. Wilson served his community as a Shreveport Police Officer for over 20 years, retiring in 1969 as a Captain.
He served his fellow man as a practicing attorney for the past 31 years and through many local charitable and civic organizations. Among those many organizations, he was a member of W. H. Booth Masonic Lodge #380 and a 32nd degree Mason and an El Karubah Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his son, John Thomas Wilson; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Josiah Lee Wilson; two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Wilson; his children, Thomas A. Wilson, Jr., Autumn Marie Moringstar and Madeline Wilson and his grandchildren, Selitha Wilson, Alyson Wilson, Trey Wilson, Jessica Frazier and Davey Wilson.
The family would like to express its sincere appreciation for the care and friendship of DR. Clarence Teagle.
Pallbearers will be members of W. H. Booth Masonic Lodge #380. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Shreveport Police Department and Judges of the area courts.
