Philip Cusick, retired painting contractor, died yesterday afternoon at his home, 35 Union Street after an extended illness. He was the husband of Annie M. (Toomey) Cusick. Son of the late Thomas and Ann (Galligan) Cusick, he was born in Taunton and was graduated from Taunton High School with the class of 1886. He was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary's Church. For a number of years he had been associated with his father in the firm of Thomas Cusick and Sons Company before establishing his own business as a painting contractor. As an avocation he had raised a number of Irish setters and was a member of the Irish Setter Club of New England. He leaves in addition to his wife, one son, Alan P. Cusick; a brother, Dr. Thomas F. Cusick, both of this city, and two grandchildren, Christie Ann Cusick and Alan P. Cusick Jr.
