MR. JOHN BEJGER, of Vauxhall,
Alberta, passed away in Taber on
Sunday, September 8,1991 at the age
of 78 years.

John was predeceased by his dear
mother in 1948 and step-father in
1976.
John was born in Poland on May 5,
1913 and immigrated to Canada with
his family in June 1931 to the
Grantham area. He worked hard on
various farms, threshing crews and
Canada Land irrigation projects.
In 1942, he acquired the Jensen
farm and began farming on his own.
He was a successful, ambitious, hard
working farmer for 32 years. John
moved into his retirement home in
Vauxhall in 1974, where he took pride
in gardening, growing fine tomatoes,
potatoes and his brilliant array of
petunias and other flowers.
John was an avid curler for many
years and received an Honorary Life
membership from the Vauxhall and
District Curling Association. He also
enjoyed golfing, and was an enthusiastic
follower of hockey, football and
baseball, especially the "Blue Jays".
In his younger years he enjoyed good
music, dancing, bridge and fishing,
his specialty being the "Grantham
Lake" pike.
John was an Honorary member of
the Vauxhall Royal Canadian Legion.
Here he enjoyed many hours of fellowship
with his loyal lifetime friends
who gave him pleasure, encouragement
and support, which he appreciated
so much. He believed in helping
with community projects that
would benefit others. John treasured
his friends, neighbors and relatives
highly. He maintained a keen sense of
humor and wit and tried to enjoy life
to the fullest in all circumstances.
Children were special in his life and
he liked to see them happy, since he
