She was born in Oftersheim, in the Rhine-Neckar-Kreis, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany to parents Georg Micheal Gieser and Anna Margaretha Hoffmann. She married Heinrich Louis Huber May 15, 1917 in Plankstadt, Mannheim Germany. They had four children in Germany before emigrating to the USA. She arrived, with her husband and 4 children September 30, 1925 on the ship Westphalia, going to Marquette, Michigan where her sister and brother-in-law lived. Two more children were born in Marquette, Michigan. After the death of her husband in 1971 she moved to Southern Pines, North Carolina to be near two of her daughters that lived there.
