Bernard (Ben) Kochan, 91, a Francis Creek resident, died Thursday afternoon, February 25, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated by the Rev. James Massart. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Kochan was born Aug. 10, 1890, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late Anton and Anna Siebert Kochan. He married Erma Hessel May 12, 1914, at Francis Creek. She preceded him in death in 1954. Mr. Kochan had been employed with Mirro Corporation many years, retiring in 1958. He was a 50 year member and former president of Catholic Knights Branch 86 of Francis Creek, an honorary life member of Knights of Columbus Council 710 of Manitowoc and a member of Francis Creek-Rockwood Senior Citizens.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Florence of Francis Creek, Marian and Ralph Fico of Milwaukee and Delores and Robert Peschman of Brookfield; four sisters, Mrs. Julia Crechard, Miss Cecelia Kochan and Mrs. Anna Teetz of Maniotwoc and Sister Leonela of Silver Lake Convent, Manitowoc; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. An infant son, a daughter, Carol and three brothers, Anton, Leo and John, preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, after 4 o'clock this Friday afternoon and Saturday until the time of service. A prayer service will be at 7:30 o'clock Friday evening by Father Massart, Catholic Knights and Knights of Columbus.
