CLYDE STEPHENS, 83, of Memphis, retired maintenance supervisor for the City of Compton and U.S. Army Veteran died on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Midtown Church of Christ, 1930 Union Avenue where he was a member. Visitation, Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 10-10:55 a.m. at Midtown Church of Christ with Funeral Ceremony at 11 a.m. with Brother Harold Redd officiating. Interment with Military Honors Monday, June 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Pastor Dale A. (Peggy) Stephens, Reverend Christopher L. (Toni) Stephens, Shirley Briggs Stephens, Gwendolyn Bravo, Clyde D. Stephens, Canary S. Stephens, Clinton L. Stephens and Lisa E. (Deon) Figures, his siblings, Earnestine Porter, Overzenia (Isaiah) Latham, and Julius Stephens, thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
