Dorothy worked at Isaac Baker and Son, a retail men's clothing store, in Erie. There she met a widower, Frank J. Koch (1893 - 1974), also an employee at Isaac Baker. Dorothy and Frank married on Oct 16, 1954 at Holy Rosary Church in Erie. The marriage produced no children. However, Frank had a son, Frank J. Koch (1921 - 1988), called "Frankie" by his father and step-mother, by Frank Sr.'s first wife, Agnes Koch (1893 - 1952).
Frank died in 1972 and Frankie died in 1988. Dorothy died Jan 18, 1991 at age 87. Her obituary was published in the Erie Times newspaper on Jan 21, 1991.
