H. DENNIS SKRETTING, of Red
Deer, beloved husband of Sylvie,
passed away at the Red Deer
Regional Hospital Centre, Saturday,
November 13, 1999 at the age of 48
years.
Besides his loving wile, he is
survived by his children, Joanne
(Wayne) Skretting of Carstairs, Vincent
Skretting of Calgary, Dominic Manca of
Beaumont, his mother Vi (Dean)
Coombs of Picture Butte, grandmother
Martha Claeys of Lethbridge, his
brothers and sisters, Roger (Nadine)
Skretting of Vauxhall and their children,
Dawn (Mike); Kyla (Corey);
Cathy (Jerry) Doell of Taber and their
children Tricia (Tom), Pamela (Andre)
and Jeanette; step-brothers and
sisters, Dale Coombs, Rod (Linda)
Coombs, Wendy (Bud) Heidinger all of
Taber, Cindy Coombs of Medicine Hat,
brothers-in-law Brad (Sally) Inkster and
their children Curtis, Craig and Conrad,
Barry (Lorene) Reder and their
children Jennifer, Joanna and Jeffrey;
special friends Ron (Pauline)
Ducheminsky of Saskatoon, Bryan
(Norma) Ducheminsky and special
nieces and nephews, Shelley, Kara,
Dallas and Robin, as well as many
grand-nieces and nephews and other
relatives.
Dennis was- predeceased by his
father, Raymond Oscar in 1967.
Dennis was born June 19, 1951 and
raised at Vauxhall, Alberta. He started
working at the Bank of Montreal on
July 1, 1972. His various postings
included Inuvik, N.W.T.; Claresholm,
Castor and Acme. Dennis enjoyed his
work and was very involved in the
various communities especially the
improvement of the local golf courses,
golfing being the love of his life,
especially with his buddies Ron,
Barry, Gary, Stan, Jerry and Roger. He
also enjoyed the Red Deer Rebels
hockey games, and most other sports.
Dennis never made a friend he didn't
keep. He always had time to fuss over
his families, friends and especially
babies. Dennis will be sadly missed
and fondly remembered by all.
A Family Graveside Service will take
place on Friday, November 19,1999 at
11:00 a.m. at the Vauxhall Cemetery,
Vauxhall, Alberta. Immediately
following the Graveside Service there
will be a Celebration of Dennis' Life at
the Royal Canadian Legion, Vauxhall
Branch, Vauxhall, Alberta at 12:00
noon.
Another Celebration o! Dennis' Life
will take place at the "67th Street
Chapel" of the Red Deer Funeral
Home, 6150 - 67th Street, Red Deer,
on Saturday, November 20, 12:00
noon. From 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.
friends will gather at the Royal
Canadian Legion, Branch #35, 2810 -
Sremner Avenue, Red Deer to meet
with the family and share memories. If
friends desire donations may be made
directly to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre,
1331 • 29th Street N.W. Calgary,
