She died at Cooper's Station, Passaic County, near Greenwood Lake. She was buried on the 12th of March in an unmarked grave. She was an older woman with at least two unnamed adult sons who lived in graet poverty. No husband is mentioned in the newspaper item, either. The coroner gave her cause of death as opium poisoning and noted that her body "bore marks of ill usage", cause undetermined. The undertaker was Cornelius S. Lazar of Warwick, who bore her coffin from her shanty by the railroad tracks to the cemetery with the loan of a railroad agent's hand car.
