James W. Fitzgerald, 51, of 68 Baker Road, Raynham, died suddenly Saturday at his home. He was a central office supervisor for the New England Telephone Company in Brockton and special officer for the Raynham Police Department. He was a member of the Raynham American Legion and the Taunton Rifle and Pistol Club, and was a communicant of St. Ann's Church. A 1949 graduate of Taunton High School, he attended Bridgewater State College and Stonehill College. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late James W. and Helen L. (Reilly) Fitzgerald. Surviving him are a daughter, Jamie E. Fitzgerald of Buzzard's Bay, and a brother Robert F. Fitzgerald of Raynham. He also leaves a nephew, Robert F. Fitzgerald Jr., and a niece, Keri Lynn Fitzgerald, both of Raynham.
