Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Ebenezer Cemetery for Vermel Stutes Thibodeaux, 84, who died December 4, 2018 in Crowley.
Rev. Peter Gaughan, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Crowley will be officiating for the services. Interment will follow the services in Ebenezer Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughers, Debra Jan B. Houghton and Dana B. Ricks both of Ebenezer; one brother, Eric Stutes, Jr. and his wife ellen; one sister-in-law, Mary Stutes; three grandchildren, Natlie Mitchell, Rachel Ricks, and Taylor Ricks; and four great-grandchildren, Rylan Ricks, Chloe Ricks, and Cale Mitchell and Kyuss Gary.
Mrs. Vermel is preceded in death by her husband, Dorris Thibodeaux; her parents, Eric and Hattie Stanbury Stutes, Sr.; one brother, Wallace Stutes; and two sons-in-law, Charles Houghton and J. D. Ricks.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley.
