Funeral services for Curtis Keifer will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Grace United Methodist Church in Floyd. Pastor Martha Bennett will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery at Floyd.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and an hour prior to the service on Saturday. Curtis Allen Keifer was born Sept. 20, 1960, at Waverly, the son of Curtis D. and Elaine (Townsend) Keifer. He graduated in 1980 from Charles City High School. On Oct. 2, 1984, he was married to Valarie Koenigsfeld. To this union Dale and Delany were born. They later divorced. For several years Curtis worked at McNeilus Manufacturing in Dodge Center, Minn. His interests included camping, grilling, electronics, and mechanics. Curtis will be remembered for his love of family, having fun and his ability to make things of all kinds and variations.
Living family members include two children, Dale Keifer and Delany (John Williams) both of Charles City; four grandchildren: Autumn and Kyle Keifer and Zoe Williams and Harley Onken; parents, Curtis D. and Elaine Keifer of Charles City; two sisters, Lori (Dave) Gordon of Charles City and Debbie Johnson of Ionia; two nephews, Richard Johnson and Sean Gordon; two nieces, Jessica Johnson and Stephanie (Matt) Dose; a great niece, Emberlyln Dose; and very special friend, Tammera Jacobs of Charles City.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dale and Florence Keifer; and maternal grandparents, Barton and Evelyn Townsend.
