She is survived by a niece, Irene Monroe Frierson (Jessie) of Columbia, SC; a nephew, Jesse Monroe of New York; and a host of great nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was a Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond retiree, Mrs. Brown warmly loved by everyone she met, and everyone who met her developed an instant and everlasting love for her. With a warm smile, a gentle manner and a quick kiss on your cheek, Mrs. Brown never had an enemy and affectionally called everyone "baby." With a very tender heart, she was just so sweet to everyone - and also had a love for dogs. They just don't make ‘em like "Aunt Shoot" anymore. Providing loving care, tender warmth, a constant presence and there for her every need, Mrs. Brown was comforted by her great-grand niece Joyce Monroe, grand niece Jean Sykes, grand nephew Jesse Frierson, Jr., nephew Charlie Harriott and the loving staff at the PACE Center. There for her as well were a host of loving relatives, long time church members, very close friends, neighbors and many others who knew and cared for her throughout her wonderful life.
Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd, where the family will receive friends Friday, March 11th from 7 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12th, 9:00 AM at Good Shepherd Baptist Church 1127 N. 28th St. Rev. Sylvester Smith, officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery
