Ann C. Vitali, 85, of Chisholm, died Saturday, May 2, 1998, in Fairfield University Medical Center in Minneapolis.

She was born June 16, 1912, in Chisholm, the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Germ) Shuster. She attended Chisholm schools and was a lifelong Chisholm resident. She married Alexander E. Vitali Sr. Feb. 6, 1932, in Chisholm. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the SNPJ Lodge. She was an active participant in bowling leagues, bocce ball competitions, and delighted in being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alex Vitali Sr.; parents, Joe and Rose Shuster; two brothers, Joe (Lily) Shuster and John Shuster; three sisters, Rose Shaul, Mary Miljonovich and Julia Vecchi.

She is survived by two sons: James J. (Lois), and Alex Jr. (Marian); three daughters: Marlene Burn and her friend Lyle Lockner, Joan Kayfes, and Kathy (Jim) Mehle ; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Frances Marinucci, Alice (Joe) Baratto and Christine (Frank) Schweiger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment in Chisholm Cemetery.
