Hurst.-Mathias M. Horst was born Jan. 18, 1854; died at the home of his daughter near Terre Hill, Pa., July 21, 1939; aged 85 y. 6 m. 3 d. Early in life he united with the Mennonite Church, of which he was a faithful member, his place seldom being vacant at church services when health permitted. His kind and sympathetic disposition endeared him to his family and acquaintances, and he will be missed in the home and community. Funeral services were held July 25 at the home of his daughter, conducted by Bro. Isaac W. Geigley, and In Bowmansville Church conducted by Brethren Moses G. Gehman and George G. Horning. Interment in adjoining cemetery.
