Henry M. Horst, a well known farmer of East Earl, died on Saturday at his home, near Spring Grove, from the effects of a stroke. He was first stricken about eight years ago and since that time had been ailing. Mr. Horst was seventy-three years old. His surviving children are: Mattie, wife of William Good, of Hinkletown, Barbara and Henry at home. The funeral was held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at the house and interment was made at Lichty's burial ground. [New Holland Clarion, Saturday, August 21, 1909, pg. 8]
