She is the daughter of Samuel Wilson Armagost 1834 – 1917 & Mary Jane Stine 1840 – 1887.
She married Charles A Soladay 1861 – 1915.
Their Children: Mabelle Soladay (Schoney) 1886 -1965, Lillian Soladay 1891 -1892, Mark W Soladay 1900 - 1956.

Mrs. Esther Ann Soladay

Lena -- Mrs. Esther Ann Soladay, 88, a lifelong resident of Stephenson County, died Saturday at the Ortiz Convalescent Home in Lena after a long illness.

She was born in Stephenson County on April 7, 1864, the daugter of Wilson and Mary Jane Armagost. She was married to Charles A. Soladay in 1885. Her husband died in 1915.

She was a member of the Lena Methodist Church and a charter member of the Lena American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are one son; one daughter; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Willie and Mrs. Blanche Sage, both of Freeport; five brothers, Fred Armagost, Long Beach, Calif.; Sam Armagost, Carrington, N.D.; Will Armagost, Wisconsin; Charles Armagost, Lena; and Roy Armagost, Freeport; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. CST Tuesday at the Leamon Chapel. Rev. George Martin will officiate and interment will be in Lena Burial Park.
