Bettie Jameson Abercrombie, 89, wife of the late William Leroy Abercrombie passed away Friday, June 15, 2012.
Mrs. Abercrombie was born in Pickens County a daughter of the late Burel Lee and Essie Ellison Jameson, graduated from Easley High School and retired from Baptist Easley Hospital as office manager. She was a member of First Baptist Church Easley.
She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandma. She loved her family and was so proud of them. She had a huge heart for her family, her church and in her latter years a love of stray cats.
Survivng are one son; William L. "Roy" Abercrombie, Jr. and his wife Mary Carol of Greenville, one brother; Bill Jameson of Easley, three sisters; Ruby Jane Burnett of Greenville, Barbara Gantt of Easley and Iris Abercrombie of Anderson, two grandchildren; Travis Abercrombie and his wife Caci and Kristi McCurry and her husband Rich, four great-grandchildren Will and Owen Abercrombie and Jack and Hannah McCurry.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a brother B. L. Jameson and two sisters Nannie Mae McCollum and Mary Lee Nolan.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church Easley on Thursday June 21, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. conducted by Dr. John Adams. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until 2:45 P.M. Thursday prior to the service in the narthex of First Baptist Church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Easley 300 East First Ave. Easley, SC 29640 or to Baptist Easley Hospital, 200 Fleetwood Dr. Easley SC 29640.
The family will be at the home of Roy and Mary Carol Abercrombie, 402 East Camperdown Way Greenville SC 29601.
