~ Waterville Times, Waterville, New York, February 10, 1922 William F. Hook.
On February 2, 1922, at the home of his daughters, Flora and Ruth, occurred the death of William F. Hook of Bridgewater, New York at the age of 77. He had been ill only five weeks and had spent this time in East Orange with his daughters.

Mr. Hook had been active up to the time of his sickness and only with reluctance relinquished the care of his farm and stock to younger hands. The farm is the one formerly owned by his father, John Hook, and William F. Hook had spent his whole life within the sight of his childhood home.
He was interested in the Methodist Church of Waterville, where he had taken his eight children to Sunday School during their childhood. His church and his faith in God meant much to him. His love for and pride in his children was always a joy and inspiration to them.

All eight children survive. David of Glen Ridge, New Jersey, Elise Goodcell of Los Angeles, California, Clara Holmes of Fly Creek, New York, T. Wesley of Weatherford, Texas, Elizabeth Shafer of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Flora of East Orange, New Jersey, Wallace of Hillsboro, Texas and Ruth Mallary of East Orange, New Jersey.

Services were held for him at his daughter's home, 9 Hawthorne Place, East Orange, On Saturday February 4, and at his brother's H. B. Hook in Cassville on Monday February 6. Interment was made in Fairview Cemetery at Bridgewater, New York. All the children except Wesley attended the services in East Orange.
