An obelisk erected at the cost of $5,000 by the Dominion Government, from the persistent efforts of the Lundy's Lane Historical Society, headed by the Rev. Canon Bull, as President, and James Wilson, Secretary.

The ground was given for a graveyard by Miss Jennie McKenzie's grandfather.

Inscription

Erected by the Canadian Parliment in honour of the victory gained on 25th July 1814, by the British and Canadian Forces, and in grateful remembrance of the brave men who died on the field of Battle fighting for the Unity of the British Empire.
