She Will Leave Wednesday for China and Then for New York.

VALLEJO, Cal., Aug. 18. - The Charleston will get away Wednesday about noon. She is taking on stores for other ships in the Asiatic squadron. Her destination is China, and will leave there for New York by the way of the Suez Canal to take part in the naval maneuvers of the White squadron next fall.

The crew of the Charleston have had a marble monument placed in the Calvary Cemetery at San Francisco over the grave of their shipmate, Joseph Brown, who was murdered in San Diego. The monument is ten feet in height.
