Sarah Collier Lawson
Perry - Sarah Collier Lawson, 74, of Houston Lake Road, died Tuesday, November 19, 1996 at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, 1996 at First Baptist Church of Perry with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. John Yarbrough will officiate.
A native of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. Lawson had lived in Perry for 50 years. She was a retired bookkeeper, working for the city of Perry for 19 years. She attended the University of Georgia and was an active member and Sunday school teacher for many years at the First Baptist church. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Sidney and Woodie Williamson Collier. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Powers Cooper Lawson and her daughter, Lyn Lawson Back.
Survivors include her sons [2-named]; her sisters, Mildred Porterfield of Colbert, Dorothy Hardy of Perry and Virginia MacNeal of Moorestown, N.J., and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Emory Alzheimer's Disease Center or First Baptist Church, Perry.
