She was a native of Randolph county, a homemaker and a member of the Antioch Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neuman Stanley Stout, parents, Andrew and Alma Coley Hayes, brothers, Henry Hayes and wife Peggy, Floyd Hayes and wife, Edna, Ted Hayes.
Survivors: daughters, Joyce Stout Goss, and husband, Danny, of Ramseur, Barbara Stout Street, and husband David, of Redding, CA, sons, Alton Stout, and wife, Jean, Nathan Stout, and wife, Connie, all of Ramseur, Royce Stout, and wife, Marilyn, of Seagrove, sisters, Ether Asbill, of Seagrove, brothers, Lee Roy Hayes, of Rockingham, C. M. Hayes, of Seagrove, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren.
Visitation, 7 PM to 9 PM, Tuesday, Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur and other time at the home of the son, Nathan Stout, 3253 Deep River Ch. Rd., Ramseur.
