Louis "Jack" Boling
CLYDE - Louis "Jack" Boling, 64, Clyde, died Wednesday at the Veteran's Administration Hospital, Kansas City, Mo. Mr. Boling was born Dec. 21, 1920, in Clyde. He was in the Army for 23 years before his retirement. He served in World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a member of the American Legion, Clifton; the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Concordia, and the Catholic Church.
His wife, Ellen, died in 1967.
He is survived by three children, Janet Odgers, Olathe; Louis Boling, 401 E. Wilson, Salina, and Eldon Boling, Friendswood, Texas; four brothers and sisters, Jean Benge, Topeka; Betty Swihart, Concordia; Laverne Boling, Clyde, and Arch Boling, Topeka; and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chaput Mortuary, Clyde, the Rev. Roger Hough officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Clyde. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
