Oswald Aalgaard, 39 year old Griggs County farmer, died on Friday afternoon of last week. He became ill a year and a half ago, having a tumor on the brain, and died as a result of this.
Funeral services were held at the Westley church. Rev. Gilbert Stanolen officiated. Pall bearers were Peter and Lars Aalgaard, Bjorn and Thorwald Fuglestad and Swen and Lars Loge. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Aalgaard farmed near the Sheyenne River in Broadview Township. He came to America from Norway in the spring of 1913 and since then resided in Griggs County. He was married to Gudrun Fuglestad, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Fuglestad, of Bald Hill Township in October, 1924.
He was born February 1, 1885 at the farmstead Aalgaard near Stavanger, Norway.
Mr. Aalgaard is survived by his widow and a daughter, Swanhild, eight years old.
Three brothers live in this country. They are Peter Aalgaard of Greenfield Township, Lars Aalgaard of Binford and Reier Aalgard of Juanita. His mother, Mrs. Marie Loraeland and three brothers and two sisters live in Norway.
