BOONSBORO - Elizabeth Jane Coffelt, 87, of Fahrney-Keedy Home, and formerly of 17823 Garden View Road in Hagerstown, died Thursday, April 19, 2001, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Oct. 14, 1913, in Funkstown, she was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Mary Ellen Lynch Weaver.
Her husband, Floyd M. Coffelt, died in 1993.
She was an Avon representative for 24 years.
She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and Sterling Bell Sunday School Class.
She was a member of AARP; a Girl Scout leader and a member of Shawnee Council for 47 years.
She is survived by one son, Jack W. Coffelt of Hagerstown; one sister, Margaret L. Hawthorn of Reeder's Memorial Home in Boonsboro; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Patricia L. Sebring will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church, 108 E. Franklin St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Local Girl Becomes Bride
Of Virginia Man At
St. Paul's

A quiet wedding took place on Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock when Miss Elizabeth Jane Weaver, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Weaver, became the bride of Mr. Floyd M. Coffelt, the son of Mr. and mrs. D. O. Coffelt of Winchester, Va. The ceremony was performed at St. Paul's United Brethren church by the Rev. G. O. Rider, who officiated in the absence of the bride's pastor, the Rev. Dr. Berry F. Plummer.
The wedding marches were played by Mrs. Donald Kephart. The bride wore a white satin gown with a short tulle veil and carried pink organza with matching hat and carried garden flowers.
Lloyd M. Coffelt, of Winchester, twin brother of the groom, was the best man and the ushers were Harry P. Day, a cousin of the bride, and Richard Ginn, both of this city.
A reception was held at the bride's home on Frederik street and the couple is now residing t313 Summit avenue. Mrs. Coffelt graduated from the Hagerstown Rubber company.
