Irven Pryor Ewing, 75, Mokane,MO died Oct. 6, 2002, at his home.

Irven was born Dec. 30, 1926, near Boydsville, a son of James H. and Lillian Redman Brooks Ewing. He was married June 26, 1948, in Moberly, to Margaret Ann Taylor, who survives at the home.

He was a farmer in the Mokane area all of his adult life.

He was a member of Mokane United Methodist Church, Odd Fellows Lodge in Tebbetts and VFW Post 2657 in Fulton.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Other survivors include: two sons, James Andrew Ewing, Tebbetts, and Irven Craig Ewing, Mokane; one brother, Kenneth Ewing, Tebbetts; four sisters, Geraldine Ewing O'Toole, Downy, Calif., Gladys Ewing Miller and Juanita Ewing Attebery, both of Fulton, and Hazel Ewing Daro, Fairbanks, Alaska; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, MO. The Rev. Larry Sapp Jr., will officiate. Burial will be in Middle River Cemetery near Mokane, MO.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.

Memorials are suggested to Mokane United Methodist Church Growth Fund, P.O. Box 126, Mokane, Mo. 65059.

Arrangements are under the direction of Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton.
