Mabel Borders, 77, Campbellsville, daughter of the late John H. Miller and Lora O. Miller, was born in Taylor County, Nov. 7, 1913. She died at 6:58 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 1991, in Campbellsville, after a sudden illness. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She taught school in Taylor County for 10 years and moved to Jefferson County where she taught for some 33 years before her retirement in 1975. She was married to Richard C. Borders on June 2, 1934. Besides her husband, she is survived by one sister, Sarah Adeline Miller of Campbellsville; several other relatives and many friends. The funeral was at 5 p.m., Thursday, May 2, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville with the Rev. Patrick E. McDowell and the Rev. A. O'Neill Shenton officiating. Burial was in the Brookside Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Joe Beard, George Gupton, Roger Benningfield, Robbie Beard, Johnny Gupton, and Larry Hash.
