Zuba Begley
---Zuba Begley, age 84, of Marshall died Thursday, September 22, 2005 at Eaton Community Hospice in Charlotte, Michigan.
---Mrs. Begley was born on March 25, 1921 in Thousandsticks, KY to Ruck and Bertha (Jones) Woods. Zuba was married in August of 1940 to Jackson K. Begley. He preceded her in death in May 1996. She was retired from Oaklawn Hospital and attended the First Baptist Church in Tekonsha.
---Zuba will be well remembered for her delicious fried chicken, beautiful quilts and always having a place at her table if you arrived at mealtime.
---She is survived by two children, Ben (Elaine) Begley of Shawnee, OK and Imogene (Bob) Ingraham of Eaton Rapids, MI; eight grandchildren, Todd Bagley[sic], Julie Begley Kamp, Damon (Jeanette) Begley, Rob (Debbie and children) Begley, Janet (Leonard) Yim, Karen (Jeff) Kunkel, Diane (Ron) McCurly and Mike (Lisa) Ingraham; 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandson; brothers, Richard Woods, Daniel Woods, Sherman Woods; and sister, Helen Mullins. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, and a sister.
---Services to celebrate her life were held on Monday, September 26, 2005 at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home with Pastor Brent Stille officiating. Interment followed in West Clarendon Cemetery. Todd Begley, Damon Begley, Rob Begley, Mike Ingraham, Leonard Yim, Jeff Kunkel and Ron McCurdy served as pall bearers. Serving as honorary bearers were Don Brewer, Elmer Thompson, Richard Woods, Daniel Woods, Kevin Woods and Tim Woods. For those who desire, please contribute to Eaton Community Hospice in Charlotte. Assistance with memorials is available at the funeral home.
---The family gives "Special Thanks" to Eaton Community Hospice employees and volunteers for their tender loving care of Zuba the last two weeks of her life.
