In 1920, Josie had remarried and lived in Duck Springs, Etowah Co., AL. Josie's husband, A.J. Ware, and her two children, Olga and John Black, were in the household. In 1930, Andrew J. Ware and his wife, Emily J. (who was Josie), lived in Big Springs Marshall Co., AL. Other members in the household were Olga who was married to Parker D. Wain, their children, Emily Jo and Ruth, also Andrew J. Ware's stepson, John T. Black, 24, and Frankie M. Black, 21, step-daughter. [unsure if Frankie was John T.'s first wife.]

Obituary in The Gadsden Times: Mrs. Josie S. Ware, South 11th St., died at the residence after an extended illness. Survivors are daughter, Mrs. Parker D. Wain, Sr., stepsons, H.K. Ware and Harry Ware, stepdaughter, Mrs. Mary Fletcher all of Gadsden. Mrs. Ware was a native of Walker Co., GA and a resident of Etowah Co. for the past 58 years. She was the wife of the late A.J. Ware and was a member of the Methodist Church. Funeral was at Edgewood Baptist Church with Collier-Butler Funeral Home in charge of service.
Josie was buried in Crestwood Cemetery, Etowah Co, AL, Andrew J. Ware was buried in Clayton Cemetery, Etowah Co., AL and Thomas Black's grave is in Walker Co., GA.
Josie's grave is in the Parker Wain lot where her daughter, Olga, was buried.
