Horning.- Harvey B., son of Harry and Susie Horning, was born on Jan. 27, 1899; died on Sept. 2, 1984; aged 85 y. Surviving are his wife (Nancy Weber Horning), 3 sons (Irwin, Henry, and Harvey, Jr.), 2 daughters (Verna and Lena-Mrs. Michael Brown), 17 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren, 8 sisters (Susie Gehman, Eva Sauder, Sally Good, Esther Gehman, Helen Gingrich, Mabel Gingrich, Anna Wise, and Marion Morgan), 2 brothers (Joseph and Clayton), and one foster brother (Lawrence Redeay). He was a lifelong member of the Bowmansville Mennonite Church, ordained deacon in 1940, where funeral services were held on Sept. 5, in charge of Luke Horst, Wilmer Leaman, Ben Brubacher, and Floyd Weber; interment in adjoining cemetery.
