Christian was the daughter of Duncan McLeran and Sarah Williams. She was the granddaughter of Patriot Captain John C. Williams of Sampson County, NC. Her family owned much land on Lock's Creek. She and her husband are buried in unmarked graves. Her descendants placed a memorial marker in the cemetery in 2008.
