THOMAS BEDFORD - Obituary
MILLERSBURG, Ill. -- Thomas 'Tom' Bedford, 49, Millersburg, died Saturday, June 22, 2002, at the Mercer County Hospital, Aledo, Ill.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo. The Rev. John Mattingly will officiate. Burial will be at New Boston Cemetery.

Mr. Bedford was born on Aug. 22, 1952, in Aledo, the son of Charles Raymond and Lee June Cooper Bedford. He married Debra Coulter on June 17, 1972, in New Boston, Ill.

He attended the Aledo schools.

He was an operator for the Mercer County Highway Department and was previously employed as a laborer for Bridgeford Farms, Millersburg.

He was a member of the Operators Local No. 150 and loved farming, fishing and being with his grandson.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Melissa Bedford and her fiance, Hans Voss, of New Boston; a son, Michael Bedford of Morton, Ill.; a grandson, Dameon Sanders of New Boston and his mother, June Bedford of Aledo; three sisters, Barbara Kidder of Oquawka, Ill., Dorothy Newswander of Aledo and Donna Millett of Reynolds, Ill.; three brothers, Dennis Bedford of Aledo, Charles Bedford of New Boston and Neil Bedford of Prophetstown, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.
