Died – the Times is called upon this week to announce the death of Katie, daughter of Patrick and Catherine McCole, of Chilton town, who passed from this earth to the great beyond on Monday, Nov. 9, after a lingering illness of several months.

Katie McCole was born in the town of Chilton, June 11, 1874 and has spent her girlhood days here. As a child she was the idol of her parents and brothers and sisters. As she grew up she became the favorite of her schoolmates and the neighbors in the vicinity of her home. She was an industrious student in school and was looked upon as one of the brightest in her class. Some few months ago she was taken ill with that dread disease, consumption, which caused her death.

Her funeral took place on Wednesday from St. Augustine Church and was largely attended by mourning relatives and friends. The bereft parents and brothers and sisters have the sympathy of the community in their hour of grief.
