He grew up in the Silver Creek area and graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1942.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He worked at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant in Grand Island and farmed near Silver Creek all his life.
After his retirement he enjoyed gardening, lawn work and running errands for the farm.
He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bruce was a member of the United Methodist Church in Silver Creek and a member of the American Legion Post# 263.
