Mrs. Anna Kakes, 94, of Rt. 2, Mishicot, died early Saturday evening at Two Rivers Community Hospital, Two Rivers.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Klein and Stangel, Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers. The Rev. Dale Tutje will officiate with burial in Tisch Mills Public Cemetery, Tisch Mills.
Mrs. Kakes, nee Anna Dushek, was born April 23, 1881, in the Town of Gibson, daughter of the late John and Barbara Karas Dushek. She was married to Thomas Kakes May 6, 1902, at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in 1933. She was a Manitowoc county resident all her life.
Survivors include nine sons, Thomas of Antigo, Emil, Edward, Ben and Ray of Rt. 2, Mishicot, John of Francis Creek, William of Mishicot, and Matthew and Alois of Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Ann) Fakundiny of Riverside, Calif., Mrs. Marcella Lensmeyer of Whitelaw, and Mrs. Ralph (Lucille) Engeldinger of Rt. 1 Mishicot; 22 grandchildren,
37 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, and a step-grandson.
A son Dan, a daughter Rose, three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Klein and Stangel, Inc., Funeral Home after 4 o’clock this Monday afternoon.
