From The Southern Democrat, Thursday 11 April 1912. HEZEKIAH HUFFSTUTLER PASSES AWAY. After a lingering illness of several weeks duration, Hezekiah Huffstutler passed away at the home of his daighter, Mrs. Jas. G. Crump, in Birmingham, last Saturday.
Mr. Huffstutler was 76 years of age and was a good christian gentleman, having joined the Methodist church in the year 1859 and lived a consistent member up to the time of his death. Mr. Huffstutler was a Confederate veteran and saw service in the civil war. He leaves a wife and seven children, H. H. Huffstutler, Birmingham, Ala.; Prof J. T. Huffstutler, Leighton, Ala.; Mrs. J. G. Crump, Birmingham, Ala.; Mrs. Kirby Smith, Birmingham, Ala.; Mrs. Chas. Wright, Louisville, Ky.; Mrs. C. E. Putnam, Los Angeles, Cal.; Miss Lillie Huffstutler, Los Angeles, Cal.
Interment in Camp Ground cemetery, near Chepultepec, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. V. H. Hawkins.
