Jeannette Wysinger passed away June 8, 2012 in Berkeley, California at the age of 65. Born July 5, 1946 in Fresno, California. Jeannette lived most of her life in Berkeley. She was the second oldest child, an identical twin (sister Jeanne passed away at birth). She was the first set of twins for Vossa and Winona Wysinger.

Jeannette graduated from Berkeley High School in 1964. After graduation she began working in the financial district in San Francisco at Insurance Services Office. She was employed in the payroll department for over 15 years.

Jeannette was married twice, in 1966 to Marshall S. Cabiness (great grandson of Booker T. Washington) and later to Arthur Atkins. When she was in her 20's she lived in Los Angeles in a beautiful apartment where palm trees lined Wilshire Boulevard. In 1980, Jeannette returned to the bay area where she grew up as a child.

Though Jeannette didn't have any children of her own she had a love throughout her life for her cats Edgar, Morris, Misty, Billie and childhood family cat Boots. She had many hobbies that she enjoyed one the gift of sewing. Jeannette could make anything, dresses, shirts, curtains, and aprons, even sweaters for her cats, pillow and quilt.

Hawaii touched her so much ... enjoying to its fullest, she went eight times. One year going twice. Jeannette liked people and people liked her. Jeannette accomplished many things in her life which we can only stand at awe with. One of them, she ran the Bay to Breakers in 2002 & 2004. In 2004 both Jeannette and her great nephew Christopher Moreland participated in this well-known yearly event. Pictures of Jeannette and Christopher crossing the finish line always held great pleasure for Jeannette.

Jeannette is predeceased by her father Vossa, brother Vernon, and twin sister Jeanne. Jeannette will be deeply missed but leaves to cherish her memory: mother Winona, sister Myra, brother Marty, niece Angelique Moreland, nephews Vernon (Skip) Wysinger, Andreas Vernon Egner, great nieces Maya, Treasure, Dailyn, Delise, great nephews Christopher, Perry, Kiawa, Alexander, Christian, great great nieces Crishayla, Amiah, and a host of family and friends.
