Kate McCall Jones, 86, died Friday night in the Kennasaw Hospital in Marietta following a period of declining health and two months of serious illness.

She was born in Elbert County, a daughter of the late Dolphus Allen and Sally Ivey McCall. He was a homemaker and member of Bethelem United Methodist Church.

Her husband, the late W Amos Jones, died April 3 1972.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs Jack Bailey, and Mrs Cecil Harris of Marietta, Mrs Webb Vermilya of Atlanta and Mrs John Richardson of Chicago IL; four sons, Bailey Jones of Carnesville, Allen Jones of Franklin, VA., Dr Jack Jones of Baton Rouge LA and Bobby Jones of Delrico, FL, one sister, Mrs Paul Wansley of Elberton; four brothers, Clinton McCall of Hartwell, Gulmer McCall, Olaf McCall and Dillard McCall,all of Elberton; 15 grandcchilldren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the chapel of the Martin Funeral Home. with the Rev Charles Duffey and The Rev Howard Staples officiating. Burial was in the Bethelem United Methodist Church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Allen Jones Jr. Wayne Vermilya, Vance Vermilya, Brian Vermilya, Billy Jones and Russell Davey.
