H.E. Karnes' Father Dies.

John Karnes, of Batson, Texas, died Wednesday morning after a short illness. His remains were brought to this city where he was quite well known as he had visited his son who lives on South Fourth street. The funeral was held from the Presbyterian church on Saturday afternoon, and his remains placed in Mt. Hope Mausoleum. He was a fine old gentleman and made many friends whil in our city.
