Gretchen E. Hart, 93, formerly of Somerset and Key West, Fla., died Feb. 11, 2011, at the Golden Living Center, Waynesburg. Born Oct. 26, 1917, in Johnstown, she is the daughter of the late D.B. and Margaret (Adams) Specht. Also preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Hart; and daughter Bradley Hart Strohl. Survived by children: Walter E. Hart Jr., Germantown, Tenn., Gretchen E. Hart, Pittsburgh; and Margaret Hart Rush, Graysville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Edward Specht, Somerset. There will be no viewing. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Daniel O'Neill celebrant. Committal in Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to AseraCare Hospice, 1500 Ardmore Blvd. Suite 501, Pittsburgh, PA 15221. Arrangements under the direction of the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Condolences may be made at halversonfuneralhome.
