Norman E. DeLong, member of the Hamburg police force, died in the Reading Hospital at the age of 47.

He was a Captain in Berks County Fire Police Association, and a member of the Union Fire Co. of Hamburg.

A native of Topton, he was the son of Mary K. (MOYER) Bissey and the late Jacob DeLong.

He is survived by his wife, Annie E. (MILLER) DeLong.
