Mr. Baxter E. Dollar, Sr, age 87, died Saturday, December 27. He was married for 63 years to the late Ruth Barclay Dollar. He is survived by two daughter, Mrs. Betty Poole, Mrs. Jerry Brown, both of Atlanta; one son, Mr. Baxter E. Dollar, Sr. Greensboro, N. C.; granddaughters, Mrs. Sharon Traylor and Mrs. Suzanne Sissine, both of Atlanta; Mrs. Robin Brown, Sante Fe N.M.; grandsons, Mr. Bobby Poole, Atlanta; Mr. Terry Dollar; Rome, Ga; Mr. Johnny Poole, Atlanta; Mr. Jeff Dollar, Atlanta; Mr. Billy Poole, Daytona Beach, Fla; two sisters, Mr. Maude Chancey, Cordele, GA; Mrs. Bonnie Walker; Johnson City, Tenn. Mr. Dollar was retired from he Pullman Co., and the Judd-Corp, and was a long time member and Deacon of the Jackson Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Rev. Jerry Light will officiate. The pallbearers will be the grandsons and Mr. Don Shearon. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 9 at the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons with burial at Westview Cemetery.
Surviving are a son, two daughters, two sisters and eight grandchildren.
