Bio

I'm glad to transfer memorials to family members - send me a "Contact manager" message via "Suggested Edits" and let me know how you're related.

Proud to be named for my grandfathers, Alvin D. Todd and Henry Earl Daniels.

I have been doing genealogy work since my father got me involved with his Gooch Family Newsletter in the early 1990s.

As great as Find a Grave is, please remember that these memorial pages are not authoritative beyond that which is documented with sources! Much of the information here does not qualify as a "source" under the Genealogical Proof Standard.

So, other than photos with embedded GPS, *please* cite sources for *all* that you post here. SUGGESTED EDITS MAY BE DECLINED IF NOT DOCUMENTED. It's easier for you to document your information than for me to redo your research. Caption all attachments with where you got it - URLs/date/pub of obits, link to original news clips, even where a death cert came from. Use the "Note" section for all suggested edits beyond simple typos, etc.

I'm carrying on his work on our family and others via Discover-Family.net - let me know if I can help you with your research!

Based in the north metro Atlanta area, I'm available to do photography / research in local archives / cemeteries.

I am a huge fan of FamilySearch.org - I put everything I find there!

This is not a "numbers" game, though I'm most proud of the cemeteries I've added here:

Feb 2021 - New Hope Cemetery, Franklin, Macon County, North Carolina, USA
Jun 2021 - Nanyuki Public Cemetery, Nanyuki, Laikipia, Kenya
Aug 2021 - McGinnis Family Cemetery, Alpharetta, Fulton County, Georgia, USA
Apr 2022 - Tabor Family Cemetery, Almond, Swain County, North Carolina, USA
Apr 2022 - Ricketts Cemetery, Fannin County, Georgia, USA
May 2022 - Mary Immaculate Parrish Catholic Mission Cemetery, Samburu, Kenya
Sep 2023 - Ballentine Family Cemetery, Sardis, Panola County, Mississippi, USA
Sep 2023 - New Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Sardis, Panola County, Mississippi, USA
Jan 2024 - Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery, Lula, Hall County, Georgia, USA
Feb 2024 - First Presbyterian Church of Salisbury Columbarium, Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina, USA

None of these were "lost" cemeteries that I "discovered" per se, though McGinnis, Tabor and Ricketts were located on private land via old USGS topo maps. New Hope had been an Eagle Scout project in 2013, then left on it's own. Emmaus had been overlooked - I haven't visited it yet... though Theron Rogers has continued his monumental work by photographing all of the marked graves in Emmaus.
