Terry Wayne Perritt, 51 Terry Wayne Perritt, a Beautician of West Monroe, LA was born on November 10, 1960 and passed away on July 17, 2012. Terry’s life, although short, was filled with love, friendship, and creativity. He loved his family, friends, and community. Throughout his life, he spent endless hours in study of history and genealogy. He wrote an in-depth history of his family, spanning generations. He was the family historian for his family’s reunions, and he spent years and traveled many miles collecting information, family photographs, and stories finally compiling and completing an amazing tribute to his family’s history. He supported his community in various organizations from genealogical groups to historical preservation committees. He loved all things old from historic houses and buildings to the simple plants he chose for his yard. He was creative in almost every aspect of his life. He performed in theater productions, sang in choirs, painted, and wrote articles for local papers and publications highlighting the local history of the area. He was an active member of his church and his community, and he gave so much to both. Terry’s interests were as varied as his imagination and creativity. Terry spent his life giving back to the world through his talents, and he was a loving and giving family member and friend. His life should be an inspiration to us all. His love of family, community and friends transcends his time here on Earth. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, and his kind and giving spirit will be remembered fondly. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

Funeral Services was Thursday, July 19, 2012 at First United Methodist Church West Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Interment followed services at Williams Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe.
